Peak Hockey is run by Hayden Smith, a Chetwynd kid who chased the game across Western Canada, played four years in the WHL, and came home to help the next group of players get better without leaving town.

Growing up in Chetwynd, getting better at hockey usually meant getting in a truck. Camps in Edmonton, skates in the Okanagan, private coaches hours away. My family spent a lot of weekends and gas money chasing training that should have been closer to home.
I went on to play four years in the WHL with the Saskatoon Blades, the Lethbridge Hurricanes, and the Everett Silvertips, over 200 games. That's where I learned the difference between just practicing and really training. Real edge work. Real shot mechanics. Real reps that show up in games, not just drills to fill an hour.
Peak Hockey is the camp I wish I had as a kid. Small groups, modern coaching, and it's right here at the Chetwynd Rec Centre, so the only thing your kid has to worry about is getting better.
A quick look at the road behind the coaching you're trusting your kid with.
I played for the Chetwynd Giants right up to peewee, on the same ice I coach on now.

Played with the Dawson Creek Canucks through minor hockey, then played AMBHL in Grande Prairie. Lots of travel and lessons in compete.

Played at Yale Hockey Academy in the CSSHL, where I learned what real off-ice training and skill work looks like and won a championship.
Played four years in the WHL with Saskatoon, Lethbridge, and Everett. Coached by NHL coaches, and played with and against players who are in the NHL now, like Connor Bedard, Dylan Guenther, Zack Benson, and more.
I've been Coaching and training young players for the last five years, and bringing it all home to Chetwynd with Peak Hockey.

Every drill is something I was taught or used at a high level, not pulled from a handout.
All the Skills taught range from fundamentals to high level pro skills that the top players are using right now!
No flights, no hotels, no road trips. Real coaching, right here at home.
I genuinely care about every player's development. I want every kid who comes through my camps to leave with a new skill or a real improvement in their game. I want them to succeed and take their hockey journey as far as they want to go, and I'll help them however I can.
Two camps, three age groups, 15 spots each. Pick the one that fits and lock it in.
